Skepticism and suspicion is often the expected reaction artists have toward naturalism. The idea of ‘nature’ in art has gradually changed its focus from the representation of rural landscape to the social context of a post-modern urban environment.
Works are produced concentrating on the value of individual experience, the exploration of intuition and instinct as well as the primacy of the imagination in artistic expression. The artist role hovers between participant and spectator, author and actor interacting with the contemporary world in which we live
